When I started working here, I thought it was going to be like any other job, where they just like okay you are just another worker, but not here. Here they treat you like family. Lots of trucks coming inbound to unload and then we are loading trucks to go to stores, so there is a lot of forklift traffic. The key word in that title is general, so wherever your business needs you, that’s where we’re going to shift you. Our main focus is getting product in front of customers quickly. Home Depot is a great company to work for simply because they want you to grow.

When I placed the order I noticed the exterior screws would be shipped at a later date so I cancelled the order online. NOT found out when got home that it still got charged to my card and was going to delivered Thursday on the 17th of this week which we are going out of town and won't be home. I'm a little upset to say the least the last time I was there the store was more organized.
I get it help a problem but management is supposed to control these things. By the end of the day, I’ve usually walked about seven to eight miles. Your focus is making sure the products have a label, they’re clean, they’re stocked, just that everything looks, what they call, grand opening ready. They have been very good about working with me.
I do love working for The Home Depot, because I just think it’s a wonderful place to work. I love the bonding, co-workers, and most of all I like the advancement that the company has. The kind of problems I solve are anything mundane from how to fix a sink.

A 401k is an amazing program we have here. It’s challenging, but that’s a good thing if that makes sense, because there’s a lot going on. Sometimes it’s crazier stuff like hey my kid needs to build a T-REX out of pvc. And the things you learn on the job are things that can directly help you. If you have an apartment, if you have a home, if you want to go out on your own and do contractor handyman work, you’re going to learn so much. I’ve been in other industries and I would never leave Home Depot, because I love the working environment. I love my fellow peers and my management team. They’re wonderful people to work with.
